Testimonials

“I am excited about what God is doing in our church right now because hearts are being opened to God’s will, lives are being changed. God has burned people’s hearts with desires for ministry fields this church can use to reach the world. I can only wait and work in anticipation for the blessings God will bestow upon Liberty Baptist Church.”

"Jerry’s parents were charter members and Jerry grew up at Liberty but later drifted away. We married and for a while our Sunday’s were usually spent on a ball field. But something was missing. One day Jerry said we need to start going to church and we’ve been here ever since. God our future belongs to you and that’s how we want it. We want you to work through every member including ourselves to make this church the church that everyone wants to come to and learn about you. God will continue to bless us, lead us, and direct us as he has done now for years. God gives his children good gifts and we feel that our future facilities are one of those gifts.”

“We needed to find a church home where God was at work and could use us in His work. We found a church in 1991 we began attending. That church was Liberty Baptist. It is so great to see God working at our church. God already knows everything including how Liberty will grow and how many more souls will be saved. Our responsibility is to glorify God while we are here on this earth and what more to glorify the great God Almighty than to continue building and growing for His kingdom. Matthew 6:33 tells us to “seek first the kingdom of God” and he will provide the rest. When we arrive at the next stage of seeking God’s kingdom we will be doing so with new facilities built to worship the great God Jehovah. God will use this next step to raise up a future group of believers such as we have never imagined. To God be all the glory.”

“When I came to Liberty in 1987 it was a big building with a small congregation, and we all tried to sit on the back row. Soon after (I was) recruited to work with Sunday School and we had our first goal; average 100 in Sunday School. The second year we made it. Know how? Work! Adding new classes, a visitation program, pre-school expansion, evangelism training…all take work.” “In my early years at Liberty I had a dream. First, I wanted Liberty to have a great choir. Second, I wanted to see us grow so much that someone had to sit on the front row. And third, I wanted true revival that led to a spiritual awakening in our community. My first two dreams are here…but it is time to move to my third dream. I don’t know what God has planned for us, but I do know His will for us. His will is that we grow the kingdom. Where can we best do that? Sadly, not here. It is time to go. How will God move us and what will He do when we get there? I don’t know, but BE EXCITED!

"We received an invitation from our wedding photographer Barry Cates to visit Liberty. We have now been here for 3 ½ years and have been in love with Liberty and it’s members ever since! We are so excited about with is going on. In all the churches we have been in we have never seen growth like we have seen here. We feel that Liberty Baptist, a church of people, not a building, is focused on God and His plan for the future. We envision the greatest rewards from our new facilities to come from growth in the youth and children’s ministries because they are our future. We want the facilities to be a safe encouraging environment for them to come for fun and fellowship with friends.”

"We visited and found Liberty was a friendly and caring church. It is exciting and energizing to be a part of a church that loves, believes in, and participates in outreach. What God can do in the future is limitless. A larger facility can give us space for more people, enable us to reach more families, and these families can help us reach others." Nick & Lisa Voyles "Dear Lord, be with us in the future as we worship, witness and work in our community to win the souls of those who would otherwise be on their way to a fiery pit. Keep your almighty hands on each of our brothers and sisters shoulders in the church and show them the need of their commitment to you to serve you as a disciple. As a stagnant pond ceases to exist without fresh water so is a church that does not add fresh souls."

"The burden our church has for our community and even the rest of the world is shown in everyone. We feel Liberty is committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. We feel it is a manifestation of God’s blessings that our congregation has grown to the point where we need more room and we know God will continue to bless us as long as He is the focus of our worship and outreach."
Questions & Answers

•What is the purpose of the campaign?

The purpose of the “Keep the Fire Burning” campaign is to advance God’s kingdom through Liberty Baptist Church by providing a new worship center and educational space at our new location on Hwy 76. In the new facility we will be increasing our seating capacity for worship. The stress of overcrowded Sunday School rooms and traffic areas will also be alleviated. New facilities for all ages will be included and will have a contemporary yet warm and inviting feel that will appeal to members and guest of all ages.

•How will building help us reach our community for Christ?

We realize that property, buildings and parking spaces are simply tools to help us reach people for Christ. The impact we have on our two counties will depend upon how we use these tools. With these effective, strategically places tools in hand, it is our desire to see lives changed for the glory of God and the growth of His kingdom.

•How will we pay for this?

Scripture reminds us that our God is faithful. It is our belief that God will provide the resources for what He has guided our church to accomplish. We believe that God has brought us to this point, and through the generosity of His people He will complete what He has started (Philippians 1:6).

•How can I help?

First and foremost you can pray for the “Keep the Fire Burning” campaign. You can also help by attending the upcoming major event, and committing to learn all you can about the campaign and how it will help us reach our counties and the world for Christ. Diligently seek to find out what part you can play in helping with the success of the campaign. And finally, plan to make a generous investment in the future of Liberty Baptist Church so we can “Keep the Fire Burning.”

liberty_sign_located_on_new_property.jpgOn Sunday, October 29, 2006, Liberty Baptist Church took a major step of faith in voting to relocate our church to a larger campus that would accommodate the future growth of our church. The church then chose a Land Search Committee that prayerfully sought God’s will for the future location and on September 30, 2007, the church purchased just over 9 acres on Highway 76 in Chatsworth. This step of faith has lead to several groups working simultaneously to bring our church to the point of being ready to move to this new sight.

This area of our website has been created to provide information about the relocation process. God has richly blessed our church for many years and we are excited about what He has in store for us in this relocation journey. We hope you will watch this area closely as we share our journey together.
