Liberty Fort Oglethorpe

Liberty “Fort O” was birthed as a merger of members from Liberty Baptist Church and Calvary Memorial Baptist Church.  Liberty Fort O meets at 2 Harker Road in one of the most historic buildings in the city of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; the original post movie theater for the 6th Cavalry Regiment stationed in Fort Oglethorpe from 1919-1942.

Ryan Ralston has served as Campus Pastor at Liberty Fort O since February 2016. In 2007 Ryan announced his call to preach. While serving in the student ministry at Liberty Dalton, he married his wife, Shasta, in 2011. Soon after, they moved to New Orleans, LA, where he attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity with Specialization in Pastoral Ministry in 2015. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biblical Exposition through NOBTS. Ryan enjoys preaching/teaching, mentoring, evangelism, camping, hunting, cycling, snowboarding, hiking, and golf.

Chris McDaniel is the Worship Leader at Liberty Fort O and Celebrate Recovery Pastor for Liberty Baptist Church.

Chris was formerly with the award winning multi platinum selling country group Confederate Railroad. He spent 16 years with the group until 2000, where he found himself in the middle of a $70,000 a year cocaine addiction. He went into rehab where he admitted he had a problem and was in need of a Higher power.

Realizing that Jesus Christ was his true higher power, Chris’ life was radically transformed and he began traveling, sharing his story and using his gift of music to bring the gospel others in need of recovery.

Chris has also shared the stage with many of todays greatest Christian singers, David Phelps of the Gaither vocal band, Clay Crosse, Jars of Clay, Big Daddy Weave, Barlow Girl, Chris Rice, Natalie Grant, and Charles Billingsly. Chris has had the honor to be a part of Ronnie Hill Ministries, leading worship for many of his crusades and revivals across the United states and in Nicarauga.

Chris is married and resides in Rock Spring Georgia with his wife Renee and their three children Rylie, Gage, and Brayden.  You can read more about Chris by visiting his personal website ChrisMcDanielMusic.com.
