Covering Healthcare Workers

with Prayer and Encouragement

Our healthcare workers are on the front lines of the fight during this COVID-19 crisis. We want to pray for you. Each day our Pastor, Brian Branam, will send you a message (via push notification on our LBCEngage App) to encourage you with Scripture and cover you in prayer.

Today’s Scripture,

Encouragement, and Prayer

May 26

Scripture: You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

Encouragement: The architect of paradise and the promised land offers us pleasures forevermore. Those pleasures are in his presence. When the Old Testament speaks of the presence of God it is a translation of Hebrew words that literally mean “before the face.” Our souls were designed to find their greatest pleasure in God. But as C.S. Lewis said, our desires are not too strong, but too weak. Don’t be satisfied with food, a day off, or something new. Those things are nice to have, but you were created for more. Take time today to seek the face of God.

Prayer: Lord we thank you for the pleasure that is found in you. Today we pray for our healthcare workers that they would make time for you, that they would be strengthened by you, that they would be overjoyed by you. We pray for those who have been out of work, that as they begin to return that you would restore to them the provision they have lost. Bring them joy today. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen!

We will continue to pray for our healthcare heroes at Liberty. We love you and appreciate you so much. Our desire is that these days of posted prayers, scripture, and encouragement have helped you through this coronavirus crisis. We understand that the virus remains, but the last posted Scripture, encouragement, and prayer will be Friday, May 29.

We will celebrate our healthcare heroes at Liberty on Freedom Sunday, July 5. On that day we will honor our healthcare workers and share a special gift from all of us at Liberty. Please continue to watch our LBCEngage app for details concerning this special event.

May God bless you as you continue to administer his grace of healing to us. BB, Gal. 2:20
